ABOUT ODEUS
We Are:
-Two brothers trying to run our own board company since October 2006. Everything started with Mitch in San Bernardino, Alex came back from Iraq, we opened up in Salt Lake City, made a run in San Clemente, and now were in Portland. We are coming up on our third year and we are still running the biz.
-Atheists, artists, skate kids, pit bull owners and self-employed freaks.
What’s “Odeus” Mean:
-It’s pronounced with a long “O,” as in “Oohh,” and is followed by “de” and “us” slightly separated. People screw up the pronunciation all the time. We’ve heard “Odeulls,” “Oddiis,” and all sorts of sounds.
-Etymology: We invented the word from these words…
*Odeum: an ancient Greek or Roman building for the community’s performing arts *Odious: deserving of hatred, disagreeable, and repulsive *Our Definition of ODEUS: a home for unconventional expression/artists/athletes; an organization despised for its honesty; a state of mindOur Goals:
-SKATE. SKATE. SKATE.
-Provide quality skate decks and skate apparel at a reasonable price.
-Create independent, unique, and challenging designs in our decks, apparel, advertisements, web design, photographs, and footie.
-Find and sponsor skaters who bring unique style and innovation to their skating.
-Work with small and large skate shops alike that have like minded goals.
-Support and promote worldwide skate/art/community related activities and events.
-Respect the customer.
